    Basketball Coach Fired for Being Lesbian Wins Lawsuit

Even in these dark days of Jeebus-based bigotry and warmongering, the Judicial branch of our government continues to function as designed. A High School girls basketball coach with a winning record was fired for being a lesbian, now she collects $100,000.
Sure, My Stupid President has stupid religious beliefs. And in his home state of Texas there is an historical pattern of intolerance, bigotry, and hatred in the name of Jeebus. But the bigots lost one case recently when a US high school basketball coach who took a small-town team to championship glory won almost $100,000 after being sacked for being a lesbian. The BBC has the story.

The bigots claimed they were acting based on morality, and in true Jeebus brand stupidity they failed to realize that they were the ones advocating an immoral and unjust policy. The courts, however, approached the matter from the perspective of the law. Much to the regret of Fundamentalist morons, their stupidity is not yet actually the law of the land.

Throughout human history, religion has always been the millstone around the neck of social progress. Religion has punished and persecuted billions of human beings for imaginary flaws conceived so that the bigoted can feel superior to their peers.

In the dark ages, which started in the year 2000 AD when My Stupid President stole the election, religious bias and prejudices have bolstered an illegal war of invasion based on lies supported and defended by Fundamentalists. A coalition of war profiteers and religious fanatics is now driving the US into ruin.

It is refreshing to see that, even in the middle of the current anti-gay and pro-Jeebus hysteria, the courts in the US can still function as a source of justice.
