British Resident Says Death Threats at US Concentration Camp

A British resident held at the US Concentration Camp in Guantanamo Bay was directly threatened with murder by Libyan secret services while in captivity, it was claimed yesterday.
An article in The Guardian Unlimited reports the statements made by a Brit being held at the US Concentration Camp in Cuba. He desribes being blinded in one eye when, he claims, a US soldier poked him in that eye, and he also reports that he has had feces smeared on him, and been threatened with death.

According to US Attorney General Alberto "Torture Time" Gonzales, it is not torture if the victim does not actually die or suffer the failure of a major organ. So far, very few of the victims that have been tortured to death by US authorities have filed a formal complaint.

Although this particular US torture victim, Omar Deghayes, grew up in Brighton England, he is not a British citizen, and so the UK government has washed their hands of his blood.

The US military had ordered that the claims he made to his lawyer, Clive Stafford-Smith, during a visit to Guantánamo, should be kept secret, but last week US censors declassified them.

Remember, Our Glorious Christian Leader, also known as My Stupid President, is a compassionate conservative. Besides, he was only giving orders. He is not responsible if someone follows them.
