In a secret faith-based initiative, the White House and the Department of Health and Human Services paid columnist Maggie Gallagher to testify against gay marriage before the US Senate. Praise Jaheezus! Not content with all of the anti-gay diatribe that flows at no charge like effluent from the mouths of Fundamentalist preachers, the White House and the Department of Health and Human Services secretly paid anti-gay columnist Maggie Gallagher to testify against gay marriage before the US Senate.
In one of her sycophant-for-cash columns Ms Gallagher referred to My Stupid President as a genius. Current reports do not indicate if she received a bonus for this "opinion".
It's important to remember that in a Democracy, freedom of the press belongs to the religious organization (political party) that purchases the commentators using taxpayer dollars. This is sometimes called the separation of Church and State. For those unfamiliar with the concept, the Constitution says that the President shall be empowered to select the Official State Religion, and then secretly use taxpayer money to promote that religion. The separation part comes in when the taxpayers are separated from their taxes by the churches that receive the funds.
The fact that, in this case, the "journalist" was employed to propagandize the US Senate only indicates the level of religious devotion embraced by Our Glorious Christian Leader (Stupid President).
In the great tradition of the missing WMD, and the Gonzales-enabled torture scandal, absolutely nobody in the Bush Administration will be held responsible for this latest violation of the law.
Secure in the knowledge that the US press would never call him on a lie, President Bush even went so far as to say "And we didn't know about this in the White House." Despite the fact that some of the money was paid to Ms Gallagher from the White House, the President still felt confident making this statement that nobody at the White House knew that the White House was giving White House tax payer money to this woman on behalf of the White House.
Clearly it does not matter how obvious a George W Bush lie is, the press in the United States has no intention of interfering with his God-Given right to use taxpayer money to promote his Faith-Based imposition of Fundamentalist policies on US law.
Praise Jaheezus!
