    Alberto "Torture Time" Gonzales Claims US Torture not Torture

Despite reports of widespread abuse of prisoners in Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay, U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales on Friday said much of the abuse falls short of the legal definition of torture. It depends on the thickness of the bag on their head.
If you use new improved heavy duty prisoner bags over the heads of the prisoners you are torturing, and gold plated electrical connectors for genital shock application, you just might not be torturing in an illegal way - according to preposterous claims from the Granddaddy of US torture policy, US Attorney General Alberto "Torture Time" Gonzales.

"Torture, as a matter of prosecution, is defined by Congress as the intentional infliction of severe physical and mental pain or suffering," Gonzales said in an interview at the offices of Houston U.S. Attorney Michael Shelby.

"Congress intended a very high bar here in order to be prosecuted for engaging in torture," he said. "There may be conduct that you may find offensive that falls far short of torture."

So, apparently, you can stack up to 43 naked prisoners in a pile without committing an illegal torture - according to this international war criminal. And you can use up to 111.3 Volts when you electrify the genitals of a naked prisoner standing on a plastic bucket. If you go over 120 Volts though, that is just being too cruel for Alberto "Torture Time" Gonzales.

There is nothing so disgusting as a chief law enforcement officer for the world's most powerful nation acting as an apologist for torture. This man makes Slime DeLay look like an altar boy. The callous disregard for humanity just oozes from this dirt bag.

The day may come when Alberto "Torture Time" Gonzales will be hiring his own lawyers to defend him. We can always hope.
