With a third columnist now revealed as being on the Bush payroll, we have a genuine scandal on our hands. How many Administration personnel will ever be held accountable for the Sayola Scandal? The Guardian Online, a British newspaper that seems to recall the word Journalism, reveals in an article that a third American columnist has now been revealed as taking it on the down low from the Bush propaganda machine. Let's call it Sayola instead of Payola.
Michael McManus was paid $10,000 to praise the Bush Administration "marriage initiative". While some of the recent clandestine faith-based initiative laundered money has been used to prevent homosexuals from getting married, Mister McManus was employed to insist that poor folks on welfare should be made to get married. We assume this would not include poor homosexuals on welfare.
Since My Stupid President has made the sanctity of marriage his second highest priority, after kiiling people with bombs and missiles, it is only natural for him to be deciding which marriages should be blessed by Jaheezus, and which ones make the baby Jaheezus cry.
And since Fundamentalist Christianity is the official state religion of the United Theocracy of America, it seems unfortunate that there would still be archaic laws on the books that make it illegal for My Stupid President to use taxpayer money to secretly propagandize the taxpayers.
And of course there is no question of accountability involved, after all, how could anyone in the Bush Administration be held accountable for the actions of the Bush Administration?
My Stupid President will say, in an annoyed tone of voice, "Look, I already told you that we did not know this was happening." The US Press will put their tails between their legs, and this story will never appear on the front page of any American newspaper.
You're either with us, or you're against us.
PS, remember when we start bombing Iran, they are bad because they impose their Fundamentalist beliefs on their entire country.
